STATE OF LEGIONELLA ITALY — ANNUAL REPORT 2025

This is the 2025 edition of the State of Legionella Italy annual report, published by the National Legionella Observatory Italy. The report consolidates surveillance data from the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and a network of ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories operating across all 20 Italian regions. The methodology is aligned with UNI EN ISO 11731:2017 (environmental sampling) and the Italian State-Regions Agreement of 7 May 2015 (national guidelines on Legionella risk assessment).
